On the day of the incident, Hussain and his brother Mohsin were present in the area when two suspects, identified as Sohil and Soeb, reportedly arrived at the spot carrying knives.
A heated exchange reportedly broke out between the parties. During the confrontation, the accused allegedly launched a violent attack, repeatedly stabbing Hussain with a sharp weapon. He sustained multiple deep injuries in the assault.
Eyewitnesses immediately alerted emergency services, and a 108 ambulance was called to the scene. Hussain was rushed to Sir T Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Despite the doctors’ efforts, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted.

City DYSP R.R. Sindhal confirmed that the altercation initially appeared to be a case of physical assault but later turned into a murder case after the victim died during treatment. Police have begun recording statements, including that of the victim’s brother, as part of the formal complaint process.
Authorities have taken custody of the body and completed the inquest procedures. A murder case has been officially registered, and special teams have been formed to track down the accused, who fled the scene after carrying out the attack.
