The Ambaji Temple App Launch marks a significant step toward digital transformation at the world-famous pilgrimage site, Ambaji Temple. The initiative aims to improve convenience, transparency, and accessibility for millions of devotees who visit the sacred shrine every year.
The modern mobile application has been developed by the Shree Arasuri Ambaji Mata Devasthan Trust, which manages the temple and its operations. The official launch of the app was carried out by Mihir Patel, who also serves as the chairman of the temple trust. With this new digital platform, devotees—often referred to as “Mai Bhakts”—will now be able to access several temple services directly from their smartphones.

A Step Toward Digital Pilgrimage
With the Ambaji Temple App Launch, pilgrims visiting the renowned religious destination in Gujarat will experience a more organized and technology-driven system. The application is now available for download on both Google Play Store and Apple App Store, making it accessible to users across different devices.
Through the app, devotees can easily check the temple’s daily darshan timings, which is one of the most important pieces of information for visitors. Additionally, the platform allows users to make various types of donations digitally. These include general donations to the temple trust, contributions for the Golden Shikhar (Suvarna Shikhar), and donations for the temple’s community dining facility, known as the Bhojanalaya.
Online Services for Devotees
Another major highlight of the Ambaji Temple App Launch is the introduction of online booking services for temple offerings. Devotees can now reserve prasad packets directly through the app, eliminating the need to stand in long queues. The platform also includes an integrated e-store, allowing pilgrims to purchase religious items and temple-related products online.
The app will also play a crucial role during the grand Bhadarvi Poonam Fair, one of the largest annual religious gatherings associated with the temple. During this festival, thousands of devotees undertake long walking pilgrimages to reach Ambaji. The new digital platform will enable padyatra groups to register online and obtain information about service camps set up along the route.
Improving Governance and Transparency
According to temple authorities, the digital initiative is expected to bring greater efficiency and transparency to the temple’s administrative system. Every year, the temple trust distributes approximately 12 million packets of Mohanthal prasad to devotees and receives donations worth crores of rupees.
By introducing a centralized digital system, the trust hopes to streamline its operations and ensure better governance in managing both offerings and donations. The technology will also help maintain accurate records and provide devotees with a transparent and secure way to contribute to the temple.
