Bhavnagar, Gujarat: In a significant law enforcement operation making headlines in Bhavnagar news today, the Nilambaug Police have carried out coordinated raids at four separate spa centres across the city. The action led to the registration of police complaints against 13 individuals, including four women and nine men, for allegedly operating illegal activities under the guise of massage parlours.
According to official sources from the Nilambaug Police Station, the crackdown was initiated after Superintendent of Police Nitesh Pandey received credible information suggesting that certain spa centres in Bhavnagar were being used as fronts for immoral trafficking and prostitution. Acting on these inputs, police teams comprising male and female officers conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations.
Raid at Shiva Blessing Complex
One of the first operations was conducted at the Shiva Blessing Complex located opposite the BMC office. At Shop No. 224, operating under the name “Pattaya Families Spa,” police apprehended the spa manager, 19-year-old Danish Arif Saiyed, along with three male customers identified as Sanjay Ghanshyam Gohil (35), Yash Prakash Patel (22), and Mayur Kishor Vaja (30).
During questioning, a 31-year-old Thai national woman, reportedly working as a manager at the spa, revealed that the establishment was allegedly being run by an individual named Javed Usman Saiyed. Investigators were informed that women were being brought from outside locations and lured with financial incentives, after which they were allegedly forced into illegal activities.
Police have registered a formal complaint against the arrested individuals, including the spa owner, and further legal proceedings are underway.
Action at Crystal Family Spa
In a separate but related operation within the same complex, authorities raided Shop No. 217, operating as “Crystal Family Spa.” The manager, Sahil alias Golden Mehbub Dodiya (24), a resident of Kumbharwada, was taken into custody.
During interrogation, Dodiya reportedly disclosed that a woman named Shabana Farooq Theem, residing in Bharatnagar, was managing the spa’s operations. According to police reports, vulnerable women were allegedly recruited and pushed into unlawful activities for financial gain. A case has been registered against both the manager and the alleged operator.
Raid at Eva Surbhi Complex on Waghawadi Road
Continuing the crackdown, Nilambaug Police also conducted a raid at the Eva Surbhi Complex on Waghawadi Road. At Shop No. 309, operating as “Ayur Thai Family Spa,” police arrested Ajay Ashok Makwana (25), a resident of Dhobi Society.
Makwana allegedly informed investigators that the spa was being run by Shabana Farooq Theem and that illegal activities were being carried out by exploiting financially distressed women. Following this revelation, police filed charges against both Makwana and the named operator.
Aroma Family Spa Also Under Scanner
In the same complex, another spa operating as “Aroma Family Spa” was raided. Police arrested 28-year-old Anu Mayaram Chaudhary during the operation. Preliminary investigations suggested that the spa was owned by Prakash Chauhan, and further action has been initiated against him and Nityaraj Prakash Chauhan.
