- The immediate release of activist Sonam Wangchuk.
- The resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the handling of alleged examination paper leak cases.
- Financial compensation of ₹1 crore for the families of individuals who allegedly died by suicide following paper leak-related incidents.
According to party leaders, these demands represent broader concerns about accountability, education reforms, and the treatment of activists.
Protest March Faces Heavy Police Resistance
Thousands of CJP supporters gathered at Jantar Mantar before beginning their planned march toward Parliament. Protesters carrying banners and raising slogans attempted to move past multiple police barricades placed along the route.
Security personnel responded by deploying riot-control measures to prevent the march from advancing. Reports from the protest site indicated repeated confrontations between demonstrators and police at several locations between Jantar Mantar and Parliament Street.
Authorities said the security arrangements were intended to maintain law and order in one of the country’s most sensitive administrative zones.
Injuries Reported During Clashes
As tensions increased, both protesters and police personnel were reportedly injured during the confrontation. Television reports suggested that some officers sustained injuries after stones were allegedly thrown during the unrest, while demonstrators claimed that the police used force to disperse the crowd.
By late afternoon, security forces launched a large-scale operation to clear the protest site at Jantar Mantar. Witnesses reported that police carried out a baton charge and removed temporary tents that had been set up by demonstrators during the prolonged agitation.

Mobile Internet Services Suspended in Parts of Delhi
In response to the escalating unrest, authorities temporarily suspended mobile internet services in areas surrounding Jantar Mantar and Parliament. Union Home Minister Amit Shah met with Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to review developments following the protest. BJP National President Nitin Navin was also present during the meeting, according to reports.

Abhijit Dipke Ends Hunger Strike Following Sonam Wangchuk’s Appeal
Separately, CJP founder Abhijit Dipke ended his indefinite hunger strike on Monday at Jantar Mantar after receiving an appeal from activist Sonam Wangchuk.
Dipke had begun the fast after Wangchuk’s reported detention by Delhi Police over the weekend. During a gathering at the protest site, party representative Geetanjali Angmo announced that Wangchuk had urged Dipke to end the fast and conserve his strength so he could continue supporting the movement.
Following the appeal, Dipke broke his fast by drinking juice. According to party representatives, Wangchuk remains hospitalized.
