CM Bhupendra Patel Leads Grand Tiranga Yatra in Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar witnessed a powerful display of patriotism as thousands of citizens came together for a grand Har Ghar Tiranga Tiranga Yatra organised at the state level. The massive procession, held in the Gujarat capital, filled the city with the colours of the national flag and carried a strong message of national unity, integrity and devotion to the country.
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the grand Tiranga Yatra in Gandhinagar and called upon citizens to transform the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign into a broader people’s movement of “Har Dil Tiranga.” He said the spirit behind the campaign should go beyond displaying the national flag and should inspire people to keep the country at the centre of their thoughts and responsibilities.
The Tiranga Yatra is being organised across the country from August 9 to August 17 under the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The initiative aims to encourage citizens to come together with a sense of national pride and contribute their best towards the progress and development of the country.
In Gandhinagar, the event was jointly organised by the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation and the district administration. A large number of citizens participated in the procession, carrying the Tricolour and joining in the celebrations with enthusiasm.
2.4-Kilometre Tiranga Yatra Creates Patriotic Atmosphere
The Tiranga Yatra began from the G-6 Circle in Gandhinagar and covered a distance of approximately 2.4 kilometres before reaching the Akshardham Temple. Throughout the route, the atmosphere remained filled with patriotic enthusiasm.
Several cultural programmes were organised along the procession route. Police bands and traditional Nashik dhol performances added to the festive atmosphere, while the sight of citizens carrying the national flag created a strong visual expression of patriotism.
One of the major attractions of the event was the special ‘Daredevils Show’ presented by personnel from the police department. Their performance attracted considerable attention from people participating in and watching the procession.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel formally launched the Tiranga Yatra in the presence of BJP Gujarat state president Jagdish Vishwakarma, Education Minister Dr Pradyuman Vaja, legislators and senior government officials, including Chief Secretary M.K. Das.
Tiranga Yatra Symbolises National Unity and Integrity
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel described the Tiranga Yatra as a journey representing the unity and integrity of India.
He said that when citizens walk together carrying the national flag in their hands and a feeling of patriotism in their hearts, the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” receives a meaningful expression. According to him, such public participation strengthens the bond between citizens and the nation.
The Chief Minister also emphasised the importance of ensuring that the younger generation understands the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters of India. He said the struggles, dedication and sacrifices of those who fought for the country’s independence should continue to inspire young people.
The message of the Tiranga Yatra, he said, is closely connected with developing a strong sense of “nation first” among the present generation. Remembering the contribution of freedom fighters and learning from their lives can help strengthen the values of responsibility, unity and patriotism among young citizens.
Har Ghar Tiranga to Become Har Dil Tiranga
The Chief Minister urged people to take the spirit of Har Ghar Tiranga beyond the act of putting up the national flag at home. He called for the campaign to become “Har Dil Tiranga,” where love and respect for the nation become a part of everyday life.
The Tiranga, he said, represents more than a national symbol. It reminds citizens of their duties towards the country and the responsibility of contributing to India’s continued progress.
He further connected the campaign with the larger vision of building a developed India by 2047. He said the Tiranga Yatra should encourage citizens to begin working towards this goal from the present itself.
According to the Chief Minister, the opportunity to serve the country and contribute to India’s progress should be accepted with a strong commitment to the principle of “nation first.” He urged citizens to work towards placing India at the highest level of development, strength and prosperity.
Gandhinagar Mayor Highlights Importance of the National Flag
Gandhinagar Mayor Miraben Patel also addressed the gathering and welcomed the participants. She said the national flag should never be viewed simply as a piece of cloth carrying three colours.
According to the mayor, the Tricolour is an enduring symbol of India’s national pride, unity, integrity and extraordinary courage. She said the flag represents the emotions and aspirations associated with the nation and continues to unite citizens across different regions and communities.
Referring to the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Miraben Patel said the initiative has helped bring the feeling of patriotism closer to people across the country.
She expressed confidence that the historic Tiranga Yatra in Gandhinagar would further strengthen the commitment towards “nation first.” She also said the event provided an opportunity for citizens to reaffirm their dedication to protecting India’s unity and integrity.
Gandhinagar Celebrates Patriotism With the Tricolour
